Luma Creations is inviting submissions from visual artists of Latin American heritage to be part of a vibrant group exhibition taking place at the Stable Gallery, St George’s Hall Visitor Centre, Liverpool, as part of our International Latin American Arts and Culture Festival – La Feria, 2025.
This exciting exhibition will run from 30 September to 30 October 2025, showcasing the breadth, depth and richness of Latin American creativity. The exhibition is free and open to the public from Monday to Saturday, 9:30am – 5:00pm (last entry 4:45pm).
Theme: Experience • Celebrate • Belong
This year’s festival theme invites artists to explore concepts of cultural identity, belonging, memory, resistance, joy, and community. We are seeking artwork that responds meaningfully and personally to the theme “Experience, Celebrate, Belong”—whether that be through expressions of diasporic experience, cultural heritage, celebration of ancestry and lived experience, or reflections on connection and disconnection in relation to place, identity and belonging.
We encourage innovative and personal interpretations across visual styles and mediums—this exhibition aims to reflect the rich diversity of Latin American voices, stories, and perspectives.
Submission Guidelines
- Artists must be 18+, of Latin American heritage and based in the UK.
- Each artist must submit two artworks for consideration.
- Maximum size for each work is 420mm x 594mm (A2).
- All artworks must be framed. For textile-based works, this means the piece must fit within a frame with a glass protector.
- All submitted pieces must be available for the full exhibition period: 30/09/25 – 31/10/25.
- Submission Deadline: Friday 8 August 2025, 11.59 pm
What to Submit
Please provide the following materials by Friday 8 August 2025:
- A clear photograph of each submitted piece (total of 2 artworks).
- A written description for each piece, including:
- Title
- Medium
- Dimensions
- A short statement outlining the concept, context or inspiration behind the work (max 300 words per piece).
- Artist biography (max 300 words), including your artistic background and practice.
- A statement of permission for your work to be:
- Exhibited during the full exhibition period.
- Reproduced for limited print sale at the festival (see details below).

Sales & Prints
While St George’s Hall cannot facilitate the sale of original works on site, each exhibited piece will be accompanied by a link to your website or social media where your work can be explored or purchased directly.
As part of the exhibition, we may also produce a limited number of prints of selected works to be sold at La Feria 2025. Artists will receive 85% of profits, with the remaining 15% going to Luma Creations which goes towards festival costs.
Important Dates
- Submission Deadline: Friday 8 August 2025, 11:59pm
- Delivery of Original Works for Framing & Print: No later than 29 August 2025
- Exhibition Launch Event: Artists must attend the opening night on Tuesday 30 September 2025, 5:00pm – 8:30pm
- Introductory Artist Talk: Artists will be required to make themselves available for a short introductory talk (date/time arranged with St George’s Hall ambassador facilitators) to provide insight into their work and enable ambassadors to guide visitors through the exhibition effectively.
