Patrick Dineen performs live a selection of songs from his latest album We Never Close. Combining his love of Weimar Era cabaret, klezmer, blues, early jazz, film noir and contemporary soundtrack, he brings his own signature music style to his songs combining sophisticated arrangements with with his own strong melodies. His songs range from the darkly comic and political such as ‘It’s Society that’s Sick Not Me” and ‘Less Is More’ to songs of pathos, passion, and loss of identity in songs such as “The Honey Jar” and “Busy Being Someone Else” Adopting the role of commentator and m.c. Patrick invites you to experience each song as a story with live performance, unique theatrical lighting, film and special guests. Expect irony. laughter, wit, melancholy, theatricality, dramatic presentations acerbic lyrics and catchy tunes from the club that never closes. Patrick has a long standing relationship with the Unity and is known for the music-led productions he has staged there and toured both nationally and internationally.
