The Rubbish Shakespeare Company is the perfect way to engage young people in The Bard. They will help pupils understand this essential subject through highly engaging and interactive performances, and with comprehensive bespoke workshops, touching on British values and culture- with a learning objective of your choosing.
Suitable for all ages. Performances are for reception classes all the way to sixth form. Content can be slightly altered to make sure it is appropriate for the age they are performing to.
The performances are an hour long, featuring a hilarious mix of original text, modern pop culture references, energetic improvisation and heaps of audience interaction that will engage all before them. All workshops are bespoke and are tailored to your needs; sample workshops include:
· A fun introduction to Shakespeare and your chosen play
· Explorations of themes, plot and character
· Staging Shakespeare,
· Specific studies of particular acts/scenes/speeches
· Focused workshops on set exam questions
Performance: £650
One hour long performance of chosen play.
Full Day Workshop: £700
Two practitioners running workshops all day. Times can be dictated by school’s timetable. We suggest no shorter than one hour. 40 max number of pupils in each session.
Full Day Performance: £1000
One hour performance and a full day of workshops. Four practitioners. Times can be dictated by school’s timetable. We suggest no shorter than one hour. 40 max number of pupils in each session.
Two Day Workshop: £1200
Two consecutive full days of workshops. Four practitioners. Times can be dictated by school’s timetable. We suggest no shorter than one hour. 40 max number of pupils in each session.
They are open to discussing other options for collaboration or bespoke sessions with schools or other organisations.
