We're having a do for our Birthday Party!
Our first ever show in the building on Argyle Street was on 19th September 2020, so we're celebrating turning FIVE by putting on a gig full of our favourite sounds and people – and we're inviting you to come and join us for it.
Brown Horse are one of the most exciting homegrown Americana acts on the circuit right now. Melding slacker folk and the grungier end of alt. country, the group's new album All The Right Weaknesses follows on from last year's breakout LP Reservoir, both of which been on constant rotation here at FY HQ. FFO Jason Molina, Wednesday, Divorce, Greg Freeman
a Lesser Version are probably the best act around in Liverpool today. They have honed their unique style of dreampop-indebted emotive rock across a number of albums and singles, and this consistently high output has garnered them a spot to play at this year's Green Man festival through the Green Man Rising pathway. We love aLV here, and we think you will too. FFO good music.
In total there will be five acts playing this fifth birthday show, with the rest of the line-up rounded off with solo sets from Trout and Astles, plus a performance from Maddie Lara. We're also inviting a group of DJs from the wider FY family to join in creating a mega sound across the whole day, which kicks off at 5pm. There will be birthday cake for those who get down early and want to help us blow out the candles. If we get carried away, we might even get the karaoke out later on.
