Shakespeare North Playhouse are now seeking new Trustees to join their board and play a vital role in shaping the next chapter of their remarkable story.
They are particularly keen to hear from individuals who can bring fundraising experience, industry contacts, or a creative background. Shakespeare North are committed to ensuring that their leadership reflects the communities they serve across Knowsley and the wider Liverpool City Region. They warmly encourage applications from individuals of all backgrounds, experiences, and identities—especially those with a deep local knowledge of Prescot and Knowsley.
Previous board experience is not required — what matters most is a genuine passion for theatre, creativity, and community, together with a commitment to shaping an inspiring and sustainable future for Shakespeare North. They are seeking proactive, hands-on trustees who are willing to work collaboratively with, and provide support to Senior Leadership and Extended Leadership Team within their respective areas of expertise.
This is a voluntary role, but it’s one that makes a real difference—working with an organisation that delivers meaningful projects and positive change. It’s also a role that can be highly rewarding for the person taking it on, helping to enhance both experience and profile. Serving as a trustee is a fantastic opportunity for personal and professional growth, and they’re excited to offer someone the chance to learn, develop, and gain from their time and skills with Shakespeare North.
