Data Analyst – Arts Council England (North West), closes 28 Jan ’26

The North West team have an opportunity for an experienced Data Analyst to join Arts Council England.  Working as part of a small team you will support the delivery of Arts Council’s day-to-day data analysis needs.

This is a specialist role that plays a key part in how they deliver timely, accurate analysis across the organisation.

What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting the day-to-day running of the Data Analysis function at Arts Council England
  • Responding to urgent and time-sensitive requests, including, but not limited to:
  • Parliamentary Questions (PQs)
  • Media data requests
  • Freedom of Information (FOI) enquiries
  • Developing and maintaining decision-making tools using Python (or other programme languages)
  • Owning and enhancing Power BI dashboards, including complex DAX measures
  • Using SQL to extract, transform and analyse data

·       You’ll provide continuity and clear ownership of complex analytical work, helping to manage operational and reputational risk in a fast-paced environment.

What they’re looking for

  •  An individual with strong, hands-on experience with:
    • Advanced Excel
    • SQL
    • Power BI (DAX)
    • Python or similar coding languages
  • Confidence working independently on complex analytical tasks
  • Experience handling sensitive or high-profile data requests including GDPR and DPA
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
