The Rock ‘n’ Roll Liverpool Running Series is back! On 24 October 2021 tens of thousands of runners will once again take to the streets of the city for the much-anticipated return of the music-centric running event. So, Open Culture are on the lookout for amazing local acts to perform along the entire 26.2 mile route.
The Rock ‘n’ Roll Liverpool Running Series feature performances and music at every mile of all distances, offering a great opportunity for your music to be heard by tens of thousands of people. It’s not just the runners who you’ll be entertaining, but the families, friends and spectators who line the streets to cheer them on.
What they’re looking for:
They’re looking for a broad and exciting mix of music and performance that will entertain the runners and keep them motivated throughout the race. For past races they’ve had a mix of singer-songwriters, rock bands, choirs, dancers, drumming groups and ukulele bands so whatever your act is, they want to hear from you!
The running series is open to all musical styles but generally they would prefer upbeat, catchy music that the runners may know or have heard before that might even get some of the participants dancing along as they run!
There is also the opportunity to play along the route of the Rock ‘n’ Roll Liverpool 5k on Saturday 23 October. Please let them know on your application form if you would like to perform on this date.
All stages are supported by a quality PA and stage manager / technician.
How to apply:
You can apply to perform at the Rock ‘n’ Roll Liverpool Running Series using the online form. Please ensure you read the Code of Practice before submitting.
The deadline for applications is midnight on Sunday 22 August 2021.
