The team are looking for creative talent who currently live in the North West for a production of FLOOD Theatre’s play ‘Touch’ at the Unity Theatre, Liverpool.
‘Touch’ is a piece of verbatim theatre created by Flood Theatre through a series of interviews on connection and belonging with young people in Liverpool. Following the pursuit of connection, ‘Touch’ looks at the ways we find love, create intimacy, experience loneliness, and ultimately find our home.
CASTING CALL:
Jana – (female, mid twenties, no specific ethnicity, German Speaking, Queer) This role will involve German text.
Callum – (male, early-mid twenties, no specific ethnicity, Scouse accent)
Jake – (male, late teens/early twenties, no specific ethnicity, Scouse accent, autistic, no specific sexuality) Only neurodivergent performers will be considered for this role.
Yume – (Gender Non-Conforming, 20-40 yrs, Mixed Heritage/POC, Queer) Only Gender Non-Conforming performers*, who are Mixed Heritage/POC will be considered for this role.
*For us, Gender Non-Conforming includes; Non-Binary, Gender Fluid, Agender, and other non-cisgendered identities.
DATES:
Rehearsals and performance in Liverpool.
Call Back Auditions – 30th May at the Unity Theatre, Hope Place, Liverpool.
Rehearsal Week 1 6th – 10th June Daytime rehearsals between 9am and 6pm in Liverpool
Rehearsal Week 2 13th – 17th June Daytime rehearsals between 9am and 6pm in Liverpool
Performance at Unity Theatre 18th June – Full Day Technical Rehearsal and 7:30pm Show
FEES:
Please be mindful that this project does not have ACE funding and is being supported by the Unity as part of their 2021 Open Call Programme.
All roles are paid at a flat fee of £475.90 across a period of 10 days rehearsal and inclusive of performance in line with Equity and ITC Minimum Rates for Travel & Food Expenses.
Please note, these roles are primarily for North West based performers who live within commuting distance of Liverpool.
