The E2M Fair will celebrate Escape2Make’s brand new space, a destination where young people can escape the stresses of being a teenager and engage in creative activities. They recently received over £220,000 of funding to secure this space for the next three years, and this will be their launch event!
They need artists to run creative workshops for 11-18-year-olds, fitting the following brief:
- Fun & Educational: Workshops should focus on creative activities that young people wouldn’t ordinarily have the chance to learn at school.
- Showcase at the E2M Fair: The outcome should be something that can be showcased at the fair (e.g., a performance, a stall with items for sale, an interactive activity for the public).
- Legacy in the Space: There should be a lasting element from the project (e.g., artwork to hang, plant pots to use, furniture made from recycled materials).
What They Need from You
- Workshop Description: A brief explanation of the workshop(s) you would like to run (no more than 250 words). Include pictures/videos if available.
- Introduction: A 100-word introduction about yourself and your experience. You may include a photo.
You can propose a 5-session program where the same group develops skills over 5 sessions, OR a one-off workshop to take place once during the workshop period. Please specify which format you prefer.
Submission Process
- All ideas meeting the brief will be presented to their Youth Board, who will decide which to proceed with.
- If selected, you will be paid a day rate of £300 per day (£150 per half-day) for planning and delivering the project, provided with support from assistants/volunteers, and given a materials budget (up to £100 for one-off workshops, up to £300 for 5-session programs).
Submissions closing date
