Bolton at Home is seeking an experienced artist, creative collaboration or arts organisation, based in the North West (i.e. requiring no overnight stays).
The artist will develop and deliver a Covid-safe proposal for a spectacular temporary artwork that offers an exciting opportunity for Bolton at Home’s customers to safely engage.
Bolton at Home is a charitable community benefit society and social housing provider, managing more than 18,000 homes.
They want to deliver an ambitious ‘pop up’ public artwork that tours our communities and helps our customers to feel more connected and less isolated, and that creates positive memories and opportunities to share messages of hope in an otherwise difficult time. They are open to any arts medium that is appropriate to the project.
They expect you to be a professional practising artist, with at least three years’ experience of creating interesting and high quality work in the public realm. You/your business should be currently based in the North West. The appointed artist will be able to demonstrate:
· experience and understanding of working with communities
· excellent communication and community engagement skills
· the delivery of comparable projects and the aptitude to deliver this type of work
· relevant design and technical skills
· experience of working with multi agency teams
· budget and project management skills
Budget
The total budget for this project is £15,000, including artists fees, materials, travel expenses, and VAT where appropriate.
Timescale
Project start date: 1st February 2021
Project end date: 1st April 2021
