There’s a week to go before applications close for the #LiverpoolWrites Children & Young People’s Cultural Programme.
As part of Liverpool’s Year of Writing, Liverpool Learning Partnership and Writing on the Wall are offering eight commissions to contribute to this programme, each worth £1000 or £2000.
They want to hear from local artists, creatives and cultural producers about how you could use your diverse cultural expertise and energy to encourage children and young people to put pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard!).
To apply contact: alice@liverpoollearningpartnership.com by Monday 26th April, 10am, explaining your offer in a 1-page outline. Please also submit a 2-page plan outlining how you will meet the criteria. This should include:
• More detail about your offer, and how it will inspire children and young people to write (their
writing could be in any form – letters, poems, spoken word, post cards, zines, blogs, etc.)
• How you will encourage children and young people to express their voices and discuss/write about
the issues, topics and subjects that are of most interest and importance to them
• Age/key stages the resource is relevant/suitable for
• Art form(s) you will use to inspire pupils – film, music, drama, visual art, writing/comics, dance,
creative technology, etc.
• Learning objectives and outcomes
• A breakdown of your timetable for planning, preparation, delivery, and evaluation
