Arts Council England have announced a range of new and extended benevolent funding.
Theatre Artists Fund
Launched on 6th July, this fund – which has raised £3.5 million to date – offers easy access individual grants of £1,000 for freelance professional theatre workers (see a full list of eligible roles here).
In round one, they supported 1,600 creative practitioners across the UK. Our funding will support Round 2 of the fund, which opens for applications at 12pm, 27 August and runs for two weeks. Find out more here.
Help Musicians’ Financial Hardship Funding
At the outset of lockdown, Help Musicians launched phase one of its Financial Hardship Funding programme, offering grants of £500 to over 16,700 professional musicians.
Phase two launched in June and is providing monthly support from July to October to around 3,600 musicians. Their latest funding will be used to support the launch of phase three in November. Find out more here.
National Lottery Project Grants
Applications are now open for National Lottery Project Grants, their open access programme for arts, museums and libraries projects. If you’re looking for funding towards an arts, museums or libraries project that benefits the public in England, Project Grants could be for you.
For now, you don’t need to worry about getting match funding and individuals can apply for time to think about their work and plan their next move. Find out more here.
Developing your Creative Practice
Developing your Creative Practice is our development fund designed to support independent creative practitioners to ensure excellence is thriving in the arts and culture sector. This fund will create more pathways for individuals from a range of creative practices and backgrounds.
They are working to reopen this fund in the autumn. To make sure you are one of the first to know when it does reopen, please sign up to their newsletter here.
