Arts Emergency, a mentoring organisation and support network aiming to address the inequalities in the creative and cultural sectors, is looking for a Community Officer to join the team.
The Community Officer will support the delivery of the Arts Emergency Community programme that connects young people to each other and to other creative professionals. The successful candidate will work closely with the Community Manager as well as the Youth Collective who act as leaders of community engagement and development.
It is a busy, fun, and rewarding role which works with a variety of people in the Arts Emergency team as well as the young people they support.
About the role
– Fixed term, Two year contract
– 0.6, 21 hours per week
– £30,500 per annum pro rata, plus 3% pension contribution
– This role can be home or office-based
– Arts Emergency operates a 35-hour week, we will consider compressed or annualised hours.
– No specific qualifications are required for this role
– Experience of working with young people aged 16-25 and project management projects
– Awareness of issues affecting young people aged 16–25
– Comfortable using standard Google software
– Good interpersonal and relationship building skills
– Strong administrative and organisational skills
– Good time management skills and attention to detail
