Using the life and existence of worms as a metaphor for the evolving nature of technology, emerging artists ASH//ELLA are calling out for creatives, students and technology enthusiasts to curate their own pop-up Augmented Reality (AR) exhibition.
A Questionable Companionship is an experiential AR Exhibition, part of Cognitive Sensations latest season — The Downloadable Brain — exploring the merging of technology with human biology. Through eight immersive and playful videos, these humble creatures become a metaphor into thinking about technology as a living, growing extension of the complex human ecosystem.
They invite audiences to curate their own exhibition, virtually filling homes, studios and public spaces, creating an interplay between the environment and this immersive artwork series. Prior to the exhibition launch, on 15th July, downloadable exhibition packs will be available to print and arrange for remote audiences — they are calling out for nationwide participants to join them for the night to transport, arrange and engage with their own exhibition where they see fit. Local audiences have the option to collect an exhibition pack up from the Royal Standard on the launch night. Collectively, you will create a constellation of AR exhibitions across the globe, emerging through unique spaces, cities and natural environments.
To get involved and set up your own exhibition, please send an expression of interest to cognitivesensations@gmail.co.uk.
