This Building Caretaker role involves ensuring The Florrie is a safe, accessible, and well-maintained environment for staff and visitors. Key responsibilities include monitoring health and safety and fire procedures, performing regular inspections to address maintenance issues, setting up and dismantling event spaces, and maintaining public areas like the carpark and garden. The caretaker is also a key holder responsible for opening and closing the building and responding to out-of-hours emergencies.
Essential skills include knowledge of health and safety practices, experience in general building caretaking and maintenance, familiarity with working in a Grade II listed building, and strong organizational, communication, and teamwork abilities. A full clean driving license is required.
