For this year’s Sound City, the Unusual Arts Sourcing Company are hosting ‘The World’s Smallest Festival Stage’ and are looking for performers of all types to get involved with the stage as it moves around the festival.
If you’re a musician, poet, comedian or anything else and want to perform for the good people of Liverpool from a really, really small stage; they want to hear from you. Email Allan at unusualartsourcingcompany@gmail.com.
The team are also hosting a second stage that will be a tribute to the legendary venue Eric’s, and one of its founders Roger Eagle. The tribute will take the form of a classical performance of tracks by the bands that made the venue famous. These are being performed by a young local ensemble. There will also be a DJ set by Norman Killon and tracks from Roger Eagle’s own tapes, provided by Bill Sykes who was Roger’s friend and biographer.
If you have any memories of Eric’s you’d like to share with the team that might contribute to this event or that can be discussed during the Q and A portion, get in touch via email to unusualartsourcingcompany@gmail.com.
