Rock ‘n’ Roll Liverpool Marathon & ½ Marathon moved to May 2021!
When the Rock ‘n’ Roll Liverpool Marathon & ½ Marathon was moved from its original date of May 23-24 to October 24-25, 2020, the team felt very confident they would still be able to deliver an exceptional event at the later date.
Unfortunately, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and following consultation with Liverpool City Council, it has been decided to cancel the Rock ‘n’ Roll Liverpool Marathon & ½ Marathon for 2020 and the event will return on 29-30 May 2021.
The Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon & ½ Marathon feature performances and music at every mile, offering plenty of opportunities for your music to be heard by not only thousands of runners, but the families, friends and spectators who come to cheer them on. The performers applications will reopen early in 2021. Please watch this space!
All registered running participants of all event distances of the 2020 Rock ‘n’ Roll Liverpool Marathon & ½ Marathon will have their race registration automatically moved to the 2021 race date.
In the meantime, please look after each, and stay safe and well!

_______________
The Rock ‘n’ Roll Liverpool Marathon & ½ Marathon will now take place on 25 Oct 2020.
Tens of thousands of runners will once again take to the streets of the city, and Open Culture are once again on the lookout for amazing local acts to perform along the entire 26.2 mile route.
The Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon & ½ Marathon feature performances and music at every mile of both distances, offering plenty of opportunities for your music to be heard by tens of thousands of people – not only runners, but the families, friends and spectators who line the streets to cheer them on.
What they’re looking for
They’re looking for a broad and exciting mix of music and performance that will wow the runners and keep them motivated throughout the race – for past races we’ve had a mix of singer-songwriters, rock bands, choirs, dancers, drumming groups and even ukulele bands so whatever your act is, they want to hear from you!
The marathon is open to all musical styles but generally it’s preferred for you to perform upbeat, catchy music that the runners may know or have heard before. You may even see a few participants dancing along as they run!
There is also the opportunity to play along the route of the Rock ‘n’ Roll Liverpool 5k on Saturday 24 Oct. Please let us know on your application form if you would like to perform on this date.
All stages are supported by a quality PA and stage manager / technician.
