Deep Blue is being created in response to the UK’s rising loneliness epidemic. The production will explore themes of loneliness and mental health using storytelling, original song and immersive design.
Inspired by the true account of the world’s loneliest whale, the play will follow one woman as she struggles to connect with the world today. The whale will be realised through live music on stage.
For this first stage of R&D, producers Paperwork Theatre are seeking an ensemble of four actor-musicians aged between 20 and 45, to work with the creative team in exploring the narrative and style of performance.
