As Communications Officer, you will work closely with the Music Education team and Advocacy & Communication colleagues to produce and develop communication plans that support our music education and national communication strategies. You might have specialist communication experience, but you will also have rounded knowledge of all elements of communication to make a success of this role.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- developing, delivering and evaluating creative communications projects
- writing and editing engaging copy for a range of channels and audiences
- working with internal and external stakeholders to find and communicate impactful and inspiring stories
- using technical skills to manage the content of our digital channels, including our website and social media
- commissioning external suppliers to produce high-quality digital and print materials on time and to budget
You’ll bring to the role excellent written and verbal communication skills, a good understanding of traditional and emerging media, and the ability to develop and maintain excellent relationships with a range of stakeholders. You will also need:
- strong organisational skills
- a high level of attention to detail
- the ability to prioritise and manage conflicting tasks
- a collaborative mindset
- a track record of delivering work on time and to a high standard
This full-time, fixed term role is based in Manchester and offers an attractive salary and benefits package, including 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, and three additional days off between Christmas and New Year.
