The Communications Officer is an integral member of thei team. This role manages the day-to-day running of our social media channels, e-newsletters, and website, ensuring internal and external communications are of the highest standard.
As part of the Communications and Development team, you will work closely with the Senior Communications and Development Manager, collaborating to devise bold and exciting content that showcases each area of their work. The department is also
responsible for all marketing, from branding to print across the network, so attention to detail is essential.
This is an ideal role for a creative, motivated individual who has specialised in marketing and communications and is at ease working across a diverse range of organisations and artists.
Essential skills and experience
You will have been working in a comparable role for a minimum of three years with demonstrable experience in the following areas:
● A strong understanding of social media as a communications tool and experience in managing multiple platforms.
● Proven track record of handling content management systems for websites such as WordPress or similar.
● Experience of using desktop publishing software such as InDesign, Publisher or equivalent to create marketing collateral.
● Demonstrable experience of using email marketing services such as Transpond, Mailchimp or comparable.
● Excellent copywriting and proofreading skills.
● Confident written and verbal communication.
● Experience of working to tight deadlines in a fast paced environment.
● Good knowledge of Google Workspace applications and services or Microsoft Office applications and services.
Desirable skills and experience:
● Worked with a network or membership organisation managing communications
for multiple partner channels.
● An understanding of marketing analytics and matrices such as Google analytics and how these can show success and impact.
● Hands-on experience of content production such as filmmaking or audio production, creating motion graphics and animation.
● Experience of managing a CRM or database system and understanding of GDPR regulations.
● An interest in outdoor arts or the arts sector.
