Joining them as a Community Development Officer based in Stockbridge, Knowsley, you will work to design, develop and deliver services and projects which enhance the wellbeing of customers and support them to deliver the aims of their Wellbeing Strategy.
Working creatively and with innovative methods to design and deliver projects on the ground, you will make a difference to the lives of customers by working alongside them and finding and responding to their personal and community development needs, acting as the focal point for activity within the directorate whilst maintaining strong links with the partner organisations operating in the locality.
You will be skilled at building relationships with individuals based on trust and common aims, that encourage active participation in projects. You must develop and maintain a detailed, up to date knowledge base of legislation, funding and good practice. You will also be required to support the delivery, management and evaluation of projects which make it clear how what we delivers makes a real impact to communities.
Candidates for this role should have experience gained within a social housing or community environment coupled with knowledge of the local area and how to work alongside and empower tenants and members of the community to address local issues.
With effective communication skills and the ability to use your initiative, you will have experience of working with community and/or tenants groups to achieve results in Community Development and demonstrate an innovative and creative approach to initiating and sustaining community development projects.
