Manchester International Festival (MIF) invites great artists from across the globe to create extraordinary new work for the Festival, which is staged every two years at venues and found spaces across Manchester.
Their future home is The Factory, a world-class cultural space being built in the heart of the city, where they’ll present a year-round programme and artists will be able to develop work of huge ambition and scale that they might not be able to anywhere else.
The Community Partnerships Manager will play a central role in ensuring The Factory has a key civic role and function in Manchester. They will lead on the development of a range of strategic partnerships to ensure The Factory is a useful and functional space for communities as well as a creative venue.
Responsibilities include
- Develop and implement innovative and original ideas informed by latest thinking in the realm of care for communities
- Build strategic non arts sector partnerships to maximise the use and function of space at The Factory
- Work closely with MIF’s Neighbourhood Connector Programme to build wider organisational understanding of the needs of Manchester’s communities
- Advocate for the civic role and purpose of The Factory internally and externally
- Manage MIF’s Community Contract programme building equitable and mutually beneficial contracts of community value
- Develop and deliver comprehensive evaluation and impact analysis, continually adapting and evolving activity as a result of learning. Create effective reporting methods and sharing key learnings as appropriate across communities and sector
Essential requirements include
- A strong communicator with exceptional interpersonal skills and an ability to develop and sustain stakeholder relationships
- Experience of developing strategic relationships and partnerships to achieve key organisational outcomes
- Experience of working in a community based setting
- Experience of submitting successful funding applications, creating monitoring frameworks and evaluating activity
- Commitment to championing representation and inclusion at every level of the organisation with a proven ability to work with people from a wide range of backgrounds
