Do you have a strong memory connected to a specific place in Liverpool that you associate with the themes of remembrance, healing, or empowerment?
National Museums Liverpool would love to be able to share individual memories and stories as part of their digital resource, something they hope to build over time to reflect the diversity and diversity of experience of Liverpool’s Black Communities.
If you have a specific memory, attached to a specific address (a building, memorial, street, park etc.) they would love to include this on their map where they hope it will be used by those wishing to learn and understand more about Liverpool’s Black Communities.
They would need a short written piece (under 250 words), talking about your personal memory, accompanied by a photograph of the place you are speaking about (or, ideally, a photograph of yourself at the place) which they can build in to their digital resource.
Please send any submissions to – Matt.Exley@liverpoolmuseums.
