This post will have specific responsibilities for the Creative Lives strand within the programme.
They are looking for someone with knowledge and understanding of the voluntary and amateur arts sectors (including performing arts, visual arts and creative writing); and excellence and diversity in the arts.
You will have excellent communication skills, be able to demonstrate partnership working and have the skills to encourage and support the voluntary arts sector to use Library Spaces to showcase their work. You will programme training courses and arts events, whilst supporting members of the community to programme cultural events.
You will support young people’s engagement in the arts through the development of an Arts Award Offer and will establish a Youth Advisory Board for the Library Service.
In line with their new ways of working, this role is hybrid and will involve working from home as well as working across St Helens Libraries as required. There is also an opportunity to work from their agile hubs in St Helens Town Centre.
The post is 29 hours per week.
This post is temporary until 31st March 2026 and its continuation is dependent upon securing further funding from Arts Council England.
