Coalesce are looking for an LGBTQIA performer to understudy both roles in their latest work Pants! Rehearsals will take place in February, with performances throughout spring and summer.
They need the artist to have a strong performance quality, alongside excellent contemporary technique, with specific focus on partner work. The right candidate will be confident and comfortable with performing in unusual venues, to teenage audiences. For this phase of development the company will also be working with a set/structure, so artists need to be athletic and strong in their upper body.
Confirmed rehearsal dates: 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 28th and 29th February.
Performances dates are to be confirmed. The understudy will need to adopt a flexible approach to performances, with the awareness that they are likely to be needed at reasonably short notice.
They particularly welcome applications from the global majority, as Black, Asian and Ethnically Diverse individuals are currently underrepresented in the dance sector.
The roles in this work are not gendered, so they welcome applications from everybody. Audition is by invitation only.
