You will be part of the Science Museum Group’s successful fundraising team that has a track record of securing multi-million-pound gifts from leading funders in the UK. Supporting the Senior Development Manager, you will contribute towards the ability of the Trusts, Foundations & Government (TFG) team to raise multi-million-pound income for the group.
As Development Manager – TFG, you will be individually responsible for a portfolio of TFG funder accounts working to deliver long term, high-value strategic partnerships and significant renewals, providing effective, strategic account management.
You will be developing your own portfolio, alongside the Senior Development Manager and wider TFG team, of new business prospects to support SMG’s ambitious capital campaigns and programming. As a result, your willingness to work well in a team and your drive to succeed in building strong relationships will be essential.
Your existing understanding and appreciation of the vital role stewardship and account management play in fundraising will enable you to deliver (in consultation with the Head of TFG) high quality tailored stewardship for long-term strategic funders.
Using your experience of securing high value (5 and 6 figure) investment in the cultural sector (or similar) will enable you to support the Head of TFG on large scale capital projects.
Joining the team you will possess experience of managing a range of high value and/or high profile strategic national funders in addition to experience of managing stakeholder needs and objectives.
You will have excellent oral and written communication skills in addition to the ability to present confidently. Your strong interpersonal skills coupled with the ability to engage with internal and external contacts at all levels will be crucial to succeeding in this position.
