Reporting to the Head of Digital, you will develop and oversee the digital editorial strategy for National Museums Liverpool platforms.
This will include editorial standards, commissioning framework / mechanisms (internal and external) and guidelines to ensure they achieve high-quality, accurate, compelling and diverse digital content output.
You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with standards and guidelines across output produced by teams – helping to increase exactitude and consistency.
You will develop and implement workflows and processes to support idea generation, gathering, commissioning and publication alongside owning the global content masterplan calendar to ensure they achieve a diverse and balanced programme of output to promote the extraordinary breadth of work delivered by National Museums Liverpool.
The Digital Editorial Lead will have responsibility for important editorial decisions and be able to strategically select stories for development and publication (internally and externally) that reflect their audience appetite, strategic priorities and upholds their values.
They are looking for someone who is energetic, adaptable and thrives working in a fast-paced digital editorial environment. Whilst you’ll have an acute attention to detail, impeccable and creative copywriting and editing skills you’ll also have plenty of creative ideas and actively champion new and innovative ways to tell their many profound and important stories.

- Develop and implement their digital editorial strategy, editorial standards and guidelines ensuring consistent compliance across all teams.
- Develop and oversee a world-class engagement strategy for all social media channels to build communities, drive engagement, achieve audience and income targets and support organisational strategic aims.
