Liverpool Biennial are looking for a Director with a compelling vision to inspire, move and challenge our audiences locally, nationally and internationally for the Biennial’s year-round programme.
As Director, you will have a compelling vision to inspire, move and challenge audiences locally, nationally and internationally, along with excellent people management skills to nurture a fast paced, high-performing, innovative and supportive working culture.
With an expert knowledge of international contemporary art, you will have a proven track record of directing national and international projects with multiple artists, curating exhibitions, commissioning public art works, and increasing public engagement whilst sustaining integrated learning and community programmes. You will be commercially astute with an energetic and entrepreneurial attitude, supported by personal integrity and emotional intelligence. You will also have extensive, well-developed networks, plus the ability to think and act ahead of the curve.
Advocacy and diplomatic skills are essential as is a collaborative nature, and considerable experience of public speaking, fundraising and partnership, regionally and internationally.
This is a permanent, full-time role and it is a condition of employment that the Director lives and works in the Liverpool area.
