As the largest music organisation in the city, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic are currently seeking a Director of Choirs and Singing to lead Liverpool Philharmonic’s overall strategy for singing and to develop its choral activity across all their choirs.
Working alongside our Artistic Planning team who are responsible for all the programming for the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, Ensembles and Choir and the Learning Team who are responsible for the Youth Company, you will contribute to the planning and execution of programmes and activities for the choirs.
Specifically, you will conduct the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Choir as required (especially as they prepare for concerts with the Orchestra), develop its repertoire, plan and manage its recruitment, and work to build the reputation and status of all our choral ensembles.
If you’re a passionate and experienced choral director who has a real vision for singing and the future of their choirs, they’d love to hear from you.
Salary will be commensurate with experience; a basic annual retainer is paid (quarterly) plus fees for sessions conducted.
