Engagement Manager – The Lowry, closes 29 Aug

The Lowry is also a registered charity with a long-standing commitment to using creativity and culture to support the wellbeing, life chances and positive development of children, young people and local communities.

They are looking for an Engagement Manager to lead on the planning, management, delivery, budgeting and evaluation of The Lowry’s ‘Arts for Social Change Programme’ and targeted engagement work. The role requires you to implement best practice in relation to working with and safeguarding young people.

The programme supports young people with adverse lived experiences, including Cared for Young People, Young Carers, Young parents and underserved families and young people with experience of homelessness. The role will require you to develop and maintain positive and sustainable relationships with staff, participants, artists, key partners and stakeholders. Implement effective project management strategies, leading a fast paced, in-depth engagement programme.

This role is an exciting opportunity to co-create projects with young people, artists and partner organisations. The Engagement Manager will bring together high quality artists with young people with complex needs, to explore self-expression, political thought and creative ideas, making work which challenges the world to stop and listen.

A proven ability to work with children, young people and community groups is essential, in addition to excellent project management skills and the ability to drive creative ideas from conception through to completion. You will have knowledge of Salford geography and communities, as well as key agencies and networks. Previous experience of project and budget management is essential.

Please note: The successful applicant will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
