This is a fantastic opportunity to shape the delivery of an innovative, strategic programme, supporting the North of England’s towns and cities to transform their green spaces so that they deliver more for people and nature.
You will be the regional lead working closely with partners and stakeholders to ensure the North is best placed to make the most of the opportunities the programme provides, as well as working internally to build enthusiasm and manage communications.
Hours: Part time 22.5 hours per week – we are flexible as to when you work these hours but ideally over 3 days
Salary: FTE £444,99pa Actual £26,699pa
Contract: Fixed term until August 2026
Interviews: TBC 25th June
If you have any questions about this role please contact: Laraine.Penson@nationaltrust.org.uk
The role is based in the regional internal consultancy but much of your time will involve working externally with partners and stakeholders across the North. You will support national and regional strategic leads for urban green space, working alongside colleagues in operations and the consultancy to share learning, access expertise, and understand the needs of places across the region.
As this role covers the North region, your contractual place of work will be the nearest National Trust consultancy office to your home. They have an office in Manchester/Altrincham, Newcastle, York and Grasmere. Their hybrid working policy means you can balance office and home working with site visits and meetings at other National Trust places. They anticipate travel across the region and some national travel will be required. They’ll talk about this in more detail at interview, but you should expect to be at a National Trust site for 40-60% of your working week.
Most of your time will be focused on ensuring a successful launch and roll out of a new strategic capacity building project that is led nationally but requires coordination at a regional level.
