Famous Pre-Raphaelite paintings return to Lady Lever Art Gallery

Three famous Pre-Raphaelite paintings have returned home to the Lady Lever Art Gallery in Port Sunlight.

The paintings were on temporary loan to the National Portrait Gallery in London and the National Gallery of Australia in Canberra.

Visitors to the Lady Lever Art Gallery will once more be able to see these world-leading artworks by Edward Burne-Jones and John Everett Millais when the gallery is next permitted to reopen its doors.

Returning from the National Portrait Gallery in London. Both Burne-Jones paintings recently returned to the Lady Lever Art Gallery after being on loan to the National Portrait Gallery for inclusion in its Pre-Raphaelite Sisters exhibition.

A gallery of images of all three paintings being reinstalled is available to download. All ©Gareth Jones: https://liverpoolmuseums-my.sharepoint.com/:f:/g/personal/marketing_press_liverpoolmuseums_onmicrosoft_com/EgLZkh9t309Dvf4rhH5bPJoBD-NK_Auebya9T2Y6N_vmcw?e=fHExNv
