Green Space Dark Skies is looking for an artist, designer or flag-maker (or a group or collective of these) to design and make a set of 30 to 40 flags that can be used to create a striking visual presence as part of a series outdoor events and to decorate event sites in National Parks and Areas of Outstanding National Beauty in the four nations of our land.
You may be a graphic designer, illustrator or an artist with ideas that will translate well onto fabric for a set of freestanding flags – or you may be a textile artist or flag-maker already.
The flags will celebrate our dramatic and beautiful landscapes and waterways – Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and our iconic National Parks – the green spaces and countryside locations that will host Green Space Dark Skies events.
The flags will be used in a number of ways – within performances and events as a special feature to add movement and colour, and to decorate event sites. The flags will be retained for future use by Green Space Dark Skies’ producers Walk the Plank.
