Freelance Art Project Manager – TLC-St Luke’s, closes 13 June

Working Hours: 16 hours (2 days) per week on Tuesdays and Wednesdays
Fee: £25/hour (£400/week)

Contract: Fixed term freelance position for 9 months (36 weeks) with a view to extend (subject to funding)

TLC-St Luke’s is seeking a freelance artist to provide leadership and direction to their Arts Project, providing a solid foundation from which the project can grow and flourish.

TLC-St Luke’s is a small charity that has been delivering Arts and Mental Health Drop-In Projects for almost 30 years in the central Manchester area. They work with adults who experience mental or emotional distress, including some who have a psychiatric diagnosis.

Formerly based at a local church and community centre, we are now based in Ardwick and Longsight, working from community venues.

The Art Project works with a team of professional artists delivering arts projects to groups and individuals and is based at Pool Arts in Ardwick, our sister organisation. They work to improve the quality of life for people living in the community with a mental health problem through participation in the arts.

If you are a practising artist with knowledge and experience in:

  • Facilitating artistic sessions
  • Providing management and direction to a team
  • Networking with local and national organisations, funders and individuals
  • Fundraising
  • Finance and governance of a charitable organisation

They would love to hear from you.

You can download further information and details of how to apply here https://bit.ly/3GG6KNi or send an email to stlukesmanchester@gmail.com putting ‘Art Project Manager’ in the subject line.

Deadline for Applications is Monday 13th June at 5.00pm.

Interviews will be held during the evenings of 17th and 20th June. Following this, no more than three candidates will be invited to attend the Art Drop-In on either Tuesday 21st or Tuesday 28th June to deliver a taster workshop to their participants.

The role is expected to commence in July, or as soon as possible thereafter.
