Preston City Council’s Cultural Service is seeking to recruit an experienced Fundraising and Development Officer to develop our fundraising strategy for the Harris Museum, Art Gallery and Library, with a particular focus on individual giving, corporate sponsorship and trust and foundation support.
The postholder will work as part of the Business Development Team reporting to the Business Development Manager.
This role will lead on and manage all aspects of fundraising for the Harris from developing and maintaining relationships with key funders, partners and stakeholders to growing individual giving, corporate sponsorship and trust fundraising income streams. Working with the Harris marketing team, you will develop an engaging supporter journey encouraging long term support for the Harris.
The Fundraising and Development Officer will need prior experience of creating and delivering successful fundraising campaigns to grow income with excellent communication skills, able to speak and communicate confidently to supporters.
This role comes at an exciting time with the Harris currently closed to deliver Harris Your Place, a £16m capital project that will transform the Harris into a leading cultural venue in Preston. Supported by local, regional and national partners, and generously supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, Harris Your Place is part of the city’s ambitious regeneration plans.
