The new music festival for Birkenhead, Future Yard have announced their latest line up additions, day splits and day tickets.
Headline performances at Birkenhead Town Hall will be Bill Ryder-Jones (Friday 23rd August) and Anna Calvi (Saturday 24th August).
Played out across a selection of Birkenhead’s iconic spaces, Friday’s line up includes Stella Donnelly, Szun Waves, Charles Watson and Squid alongside established and emerging local talents Queen Zee, Bill Nickson and Dialect.
Saturday features cutting edge artists Nilüfer Yanya, PIXX and Audiobooks, with break out Merseyside bands Eyesore & The Jinx, Trudy And The Romance, Beija Flo and SPQR.
In situ across both days will be PYLON; an exclusive new installation and sound sculpture from Wirral native Forest Swords in partnership with The Kazimier at the 800 year-old Birkenhead Priory.
Future Yard re-imagines unique spaces and venues in Birkenhead for a two-day, multi-venue festival of internationally significant contemporary new music.
Day tickets are on sale for just £20 (Friday) and £25 (Saturday), allowing access to all venues throughout the day, and the headline shows in the Victorian civic splendour of Birkenhead Town Hall.
Other venues include the 850-year-old Birkenhead Priory; the groundbreaking new arts space and mental health support hub Bloom Building; and the local scene cornerstone Gallagher’s.
Weekend wristbands cost just £40 allowing access to all shows and venues across the Future Yard festival on the 23rd and 24th August.
