This is an important time to join National Museums Liverpool (NML) as they begin to realise their ambition and vision for their Waterfront Transformation which includes developing their major city history museum, the Museum of Liverpool.
They expect you’ll be a brilliant communicator with substantial experience in city histories and community engagement, as well as in developing strong narratives and content for museums. You will need energy, creativity and resilience to lead the Museum of Liverpool through its continued evolution by working with communities, partners, colleagues, funders and other stakeholders in Liverpool, the UK and internationally.
They’re looking for someone with strong subject matter knowledge and a demonstrable track record of leading in a museum or community setting. You will have experience of working in or with museums and museum collections using a community-led model to co-create exhibitions, spaces and programmes. Together you’ll create memorable experiences for everyone as well as challenge their expectations.
