LIPA are seeking to appoint an experienced vocalist and educator to join their School of Music as a Lecturer in Music (Voice).
The post holder will directly report to Head of Music (Performance) and will teach music and related subjects to students enrolled on a range of courses as assigned by the Head of Discipline, depending on knowledge and experience, manage modules or parts of courses as required and assess students by the formal or informal methods required by external examining bodies and internal procedures. In addition, you will contribute to curriculum innovation, development and implementation, assist in the implementation of pastoral and welfare systems provided for students and continue personal and professional development in the areas of both subject knowledge and teaching methods.
The ideal candidate will have a degree or equivalent qualification, and a track record of performance and teaching voice at HE level. You will be student focussed, building a supportive and creative environment for students to develop their skills in a practice-based learning environment, with a strong commitment to preparing students for sustained employment.
