We are looking to appoint a number of new Trustees in early 2023, to help Liverpool Biennial achieve its ambitious plans for the future. Trustees will aim to ensure best practice across the organisation’s activities and aid in raising our profile nationally and internationally.
Our resolve is that Liverpool Biennial should represent today’s society, therefore we are keen to hear from a diverse spectrum of people; especially those who are currently underrepresented on boards of charitable and arts organisations including women, people of colour, Black, Asian and Indigenous people, LGBTQIA+ people, individuals living with disabilities as well as young people aged 18-25.
We are particularly interested in people who would bring an understanding of one or more of the following fields:
- Finance and accounting
- Property development/place making
- Sustainability and environmental concerns
- Learning and Communities
- Fundraising
- Leisure and tourism
Ideally you will be:
- Based, or connected, to Liverpool – either professionally or personally
- Passionate about charities and the difference they make to the broadest of audiences;
- Enthusiastic about the arts, and the power of creativity to transform lives;
- Brave, with a sense of adventure to help us to deliver future Biennials.
If you do not have expertise in any of these areas but feel that you have something exciting to offer the Liverpool Biennial, please do apply. We’d love to hear from you.
Please note that this is a voluntary role. Travel and other agreed expenses will be reimbursed, and the time commitment is roughly one half-day per month. Currently, Board Meetings are held in Liverpool and online, and take place four times a year. As a Board Member, there will be additional events to which you will be invited that may require travel.
The closing date to express your interest is Monday 9 January 2023.
