Local Charities / Community Interest Companies / Affiliated Clubs – Everton in the Community / Wembley Stadium Foundation’s Community Fund, closes 2 Oct ’26

In the build-up to UEFA EURO 2028 UK and Ireland, Everton in the Community is working alongside the Wembley Stadium Foundation to help close the gap in access to sport, movement and performing arts, so that more young people feel a sense of ownership and pride in their city, deepening community belonging and build a legacy for sport and the performing arts.

This funding is part of Wembley Stadium Foundation’s Communities Fund, which is supporting young people and organisations across England’s UEFA EURO 2028 Host Cities. It will celebrate the tournaments legacy by connecting young people to the excitement of UEFA Euro 2028, inspiring the next generation to get active, express themselves and be proud to be part of something bigger.

The fund aims to reduce barriers to participation and ensure that more children and young people across the Liverpool City Region can access high-quality, inclusive and engaging opportunities that support their wellbeing, confidence, development and enjoyment.

Through the fund, organisations can apply for grants of up to £5,000 to support small-scale projects, activities and initiatives that can demonstrate a positive impact on young people.

As part of the funding, they want to hear from local charities, Community Interest Companies (CICs) and affiliated clubs who are looking to provide opportunities for children and young people to participate in sport, movement and performing arts activities across the Liverpool City Region.

Applications close on Friday 2 October.
