March for the Arts are excited to invite you to their first IN-PERSON social and networking event!
It’s happening this September 21st at Liverpool Royal Court’s Courtyard Bar, 6pm-9pm. The vibe is casual, you can just turn up on the night, but it would be great if you could book a FREE place here.
– this is so they can know how many people to expect and can work out appropriate social distancing measures. If you tell them who you are then they can also say ‘Hi’ and you’ll have a ready made contact for the evening! Networking quota tick!
Who’s it For?
Anyone who works in the arts. They’d like to see freelancers; independent makers; jobseekers; organisation staff; big cheeses; and everyone in between..
Although the venue is a theatre bar, they’re not just expecting theatre professionals – please come along if you consider yourself a creative or if you work in the arts industry.
Going alone? Let them know and they’ll make sure to chat to you when you arrive so you feel comfortable. There’s no obligation to stay if it’s not for you!
What to Expect
A space to chat and a bar to buy drinks and snacks.
Some mild organised fun in the background (partake if you want). A quiz perhaps.
A friendly March for the Arts team who might well introduce you to someone you’d like to work with in the future.
Optional name tags.
Where
Liverpool’s Royal Court theatre have a lovely bar and restaurant space called the Courtyard. They’ll be in the downstairs bar area, entry to the left of the main theatre foyer. Someone will be on the door to greet you. Find a map here.
When
Tuesday 21st September, 2021, 6-9pm.
Why?
It’s been a tough old time of seeing each other through Zoom – briefly – in a panic – or not at all – and they’d simply like to get creatives in a room together to hang out. The landscape of Liverpool’s art scene has changed and this is a chance for new faces to meet old ones; for freelancers to meet organisations; and for friends to catch up.
Accessibility
If you have any access requirements you would like to discuss with them ahead of attending please contact info@marchforthearts.
One more thing…
Do you have any information (beneficial to the Liverpool art scene or human beings in general) you need to spread?
If you’ve got an event, some recruitment to do or a cause to promote, please send them an email to talk about how you can connect best with people at this event.
