Comics Youth are looking for 10 young people aged 14-25 years old to join their marginal changemakers programme.
Are you passionate about publishing, comics and making a positive change? Then this is the programme for you.
You will work for three months on a campaign: collaborating on it, designing it and launching it to the publishing community.
Our next campaign is Shelftalkers, which will raise awareness of all the great graphic novels out there by marginalised voices and encouraging bookshops to support and promote them.
You don’t need to be a superhero fan to join: All you need is to enjoy reading and talking books.
How The Campaign Works
You will spend 12 sessions learning about bookshops and bookselling and exploring ways to promote comics.
Starting from 5 April you will meet weekly on Fridays from 4.30 – 6.30pm, with the campaign ending on 29 June.
You will also need to attend an induction session on 22 March at 4.30pm in order to join the programme.
The sessions are held in person at our office: Make CIC, 2 Cleveland Street, Hamilton Square, Birkenhead CH41 6ND. However, you can also join each session online.
We also have paid travel bursaries which you can request if needed.
