The joy of singing can work wonders for mental health, alongside joining a community of other like minded folk.
Liverpool Harmony Club’s Grand National Chorus sing four part unaccompanied harmony, practicing weekly on Thursday evening at Prescot Town Hall, covering songs mainly from the 50s, 60s and 70s with a smattering of barbershop for good measure.
Their public performances have included a Christmas show at Sefton Park Palm House and various music festivals.
Men of any age are welcome but they feel they are especially suited to retired guys looking for a new hobby.
