Since 2009 ActUpNorth has grown to be one of the largest and most respected independent actor training programmes outside of London. ActUpNorth offers part-time weekly adult acting classes in Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester and Online.
Job Description
– In person training with a view to the position being mainly remote working.
– 5 days per week, General working hours – Mon – Friday 10am – 1pm, 2pm-6pm, 7 hours per day, 35 hours P/w.
– To report to the Office Manager and Creative Director of ActUpNorth.
– To work alongside the ‘Office Manager’ to ensure accurate and ‘up to date’ record keeping.
– To be the first port of call via email and telephone for all those contacting the business. This will include the likes of prospective students, current students and industry contacts such as Casting Directors and Agents.
– To manage the day to day administration needs of the business.
– To manage and prepare the weekly school registers.
– To gather weekly figures and data to report to the Office Manager.
– To oversee and support the needs of ‘ActUpNorth Online’ and its potential for future growth.
– To liaise with teaching staff as required.
– To report ‘news’ to the ‘Social Media Administrator’ and support their needs on a weekly basis.
– To manage all aspects of the student application process from receiving enquiries/ application forms, to the booking of trial/audition classes, to offers and the processing of acceptance paperwork.
– To assist the Office Manager with the forward planning of the academic calendar and associated documents.
– To manage the booking of ‘Audition/ Trial Classes’ with the Office Manager and Creative Director as the needs of the business.
– To help prep student e-comms
– To liaise with ‘Office Manager’ to prepare discussion points ahead of the ‘Weekly Zoom Catch-up’ with the Creative Director.
– Following the ‘Weekly Catch-up’ to confirm individual tasks and responsibilities for the coming week.
– To support the Office Manager and Creative Director with adhoc and specific weekly tasks.
– Must be proficient on Microsoft Office – Word, Powerpoint, Excel.
– Experience of working with ‘MailChimp’ and advantage.
