Do you take pictures of your garden?
Throughout 2023, photographer Gwen Riley Jones was working with three community gardening groups (Q Gardens, Strand Community Hub and Petrus Incredible Edibles Rochdale) to co-create a series of photographs which told their gardening and growing story.
Meanwhile in Glasgow, photographers Saskia Coulson and Colin Tennant were collaborating on a photography project with the Cranhill Community Development Trust to document the story of the gardening and cooking initiatives on their site.
They produced zines and tips for zine-making, photography activity pack and videos. You can find them at openeye.org.uk/whatson/oeg-and-rhs/.
They hope it can inspire you to document your own gardening stories!
Both projects were showcased as part of their LOOK Climate Lab 2024, and both are part of their national initiative, the Socially Engaged Photography Network.
