As part of Halton’s year as Liverpool City Region Borough Of Culture, the public will be able to walk along Runcorn’s Silver Jubilee Bridge. The bridge will be closed to vehicles for one day only.
The event will take place later this year, once government restrictions have been relaxed to allow mass gatherings. The one-day festival will also include a range of performances and promenading.
The festival celebrates the 60th anniversary of the bridge, first opened in 1961 to allow vehicles across the River Mersey and Manchester Ship Canal.
