Applications are invited for the post of Place Project Officer in the People and Place Directorate, based at the Forum.
The successful applicant will be a member of the Place Development Project Team, undertaking duties to enable the effective delivery of the Place Development Project.
This project is funded through the Brilliant Barrow Town Deal, an ambitious £29 million programme to transform the town, providing new developments, improvements and opportunities for residents and visitors.
The post is offered on a part-time basis of 30 hours per week (working flexibly is a requirement of this post).
They are looking for a talented and creative Project Officer to develop, co-ordinate and implement an exciting events programme at the Dock Museum and Market Square. Working closely with key stakeholders you will be required to seek funding opportunities to enhance the events programme.
In addition, you will be required to develop feasibility studies to support future attractions and work as part of a team to ensure the project is delivered successfully.
You will be required to implement robust customer satisfaction and impact evaluations for all events; providing updates on all projects to the Town Deal Board.
The role will be varied and rewarding. You will work closely with the Head of Culture and Visitor Economy and the Events Manager to promote, market and deliver the events programme.
The successful applicant should have an academic achievement beyond GCSE level and demonstrable experience of developing and implementing project plans.
The successful candidate will be automatically enrolled in the Local Government Pension Scheme and will be required to obtain a Basic Disclosure.
