Since their reopening the team have delivered new events and forged lasting partnerships with local community groups. Festivals have been developed including our annual Winterfest, and the first Pride festival for Rossendale this year.
They have a strong programme of regular events, their What’s On has a film programme, family friendly activities, talks, workshops and events related to their exhibition programme. They have developed a good network of contacts, working with excellent facilitators, artists and specialists who support our programme.
Their Collections work has developed considerably, led by an experience Collections Curator, and supported by a strong volunteer team. Much of the collection is documented but there is still a lot of work to be done in this area. They change displays regularly and enable many visiting artists, students and researchers to access their collections. They ensure interpretation is accurate, clear and informative, and resonates with the ethos of the museum. They deliver many talks and events in relation to the collection.
SALARY: £24,000 per annum pro rata, plus pension contribution
WORKING HOURS: 3 days per week (including regular weekend cover, min one weekend per month)
