This is an exciting opportunity to help develop the timely work and social impact of The Exchange CIC (rebranding as the Good Things Collective) supporting and delivering a range of projects and outcomes within their growing creative community enterprise.
These positions will assist them in improving the capacity and impact of the organisation as they work collectively to deliver much-needed outcomes in our community in challenging times. They are looking to appoint two competent individuals that demonstrate the commitment, drive, organisational and people skills needed.
They undertake a range of project work from festivals, events, workshops and courses to partnering in international academic research projects. Their work is community-led and rooted in the locality; as such they are looking for team members with experience of delivering projects with a range of stakeholders across statutory, private and community sectors.
Their new Project Workers will be expected to work with some autonomy – taking ownership and also providing support and opportunities for members and volunteers towards the delivery of clearly identified outcomes. Current projects include:
• Make it in Morecambe – community-based enterprise support/training
• Coordination of Creative West End Partnership / Network
• Micro Gardens – a community growing project
• Digital Community Wealth Building Ideas Festival
• Creative Product Development / Development of a new collective sales platform
• Good Things community art studio
• Development of a Good Things App
• Redeveloping Centenary House as a new creative enterprise hub
• Involvement in a range of strategic & participatory community development projects
Salary: 15 hrs / over 4 days per week – 6 month contract – paid at the Real Living Wage. 0.4 FTE of £18,135 pro rata. £9.30 p/h
Based at the Good Things Studio – Morecambe Bay Arndale Centre – the role will require working from a range of locations as needed.
The post is a fixed-term appointment for 6 months with a view to extending.
