Blundell Street Works (along with sister organisations Annexe Inc and Toxteth TV) have been providing affordable space for artists and creative businesses in Liverpool for the last couple of decades. They’re now offering a 50 per cent discount to new cultural enterprises.
With sustainable business models underpinned with a commitment to ethical, social and cultural aims, they’ve developed buildings across Central Liverpool that have been home to many culturally significant initiatives, from SMEs to major institutions.
Beginning with the asset purchase that saved the Everyman Theatre from closure, they’ve used the leverage of existing enterprises and assets to provide affordable homes for arts and cultural organisations and individuals.
Despite long term occupation of now-desirable locations in Liverpool’s Georgian Quarter and the Baltic Triangle, they continue to offer affordable space, reasonable terms and long term loyalty even after the inevitable artist-led gentrification.
Covid-19 has presented challenges to almost every sector including dire consequences to our cultural and arts sector, leading to availability within some of their properties.
They’ve taken the decision to offer a unique opportunity of a 50% discount to a new cultural enterprise for the first 12 months of their tenancy.
